Visiting Verona by scooter is one of the most practical and enjoyable ways to explore the city and its surroundings. It allows you to move easily through traffic, reach the historic center or panoramic viewpoints such as the Torricelle hills, and set off effortlessly to discover Valpolicella or Lake Garda, enjoying Verona with greater freedom and without stress.
The rental price depends on the scooter model chosen. The price includes the scooter rental, mandatory third-party liability insurance (RC), up to two helmets, and a disc lock.
Extra nights are charged only when the rental period spans additional calendar nights beyond the rental days. Any extra night fees are automatically calculated and clearly displayed during the booking process.
On the day of the rental, when signing the contract, please bring a driving licence valid in Italy (full details are available in the dedicated FAQ) and a national ID card or your passport.
To ride our 125cc scooters in Italy, you must hold a valid driving licence in accordance with Italian regulations. Driving licences categories B, A, A1 or A2 are accepted if issued in Italy, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or EEA countries. Holders of non-EU / UK / EEA licences must also present (along with their domestic Driving Licence) an International Driving Permit showing a valid motorcycle category (A / A1 / A2). If these requirements are not met, the scooter cannot be rented.
Yes, a minimum level of experience riding scooters or motorcycles is required. Although our scooters are easy to ride, for safety reasons we reserve the right to rent only to riders who are already familiar with scooter or motorcycle riding.
Riding a scooter in Verona is generally easy, especially for riders with prior experience. Before departure, our staff will provide a clear and complete briefing on how the scooter works, the main rules to follow, and useful tips for riding safely.
Yes, a €200 cash security deposit is required at pick-up. The deposit is fully refunded at the end of the rental period, once the scooter has been returned in the same condition.
The rental can be paid online during booking or directly on site using credit card, debit card, or cash. The security deposit, however, must always be paid in cash and cannot be paid by card.
Yes, each scooter is approved for two people. Riding with a passenger is allowed, provided that the passenger also wears a helmet, which we provide with no additional charges, and that all traffic regulations are respected.
Yes, up to two people can drive the same scooter. We charge an extra €10 for the additional driver per day (needed to extend the insurance to the second driver), which you can pay directly when signing the rental agreement. The same rules listed in the previous FAQs also apply to the second driver.
For safety and assistance reasons, we ask riders to stay within approximately 50 km from Verona. We do not track customers’ routes, but this guideline allows us to assist more easily if needed.
You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to thirty days in advance. From the thirtieth day, the cancellation will cost 30% of the amount paid, while from the tenth day the entire amount will be charged. In case of impossibility to rent for reasons not attributable to Verona Travel, the full amount of the rental will be retained.
Our scooters undergo regular maintenance to minimize the risk of issues. In case of a breakdown or accident, it is important to contact us as soon as possible so we can assist you. Any damage to the scooter will be assessed by our trusted mechanic to ensure a fair evaluation of potential costs.
Compliance with traffic laws is the rider’s responsibility. Any traffic fines or administrative penalties received during the rental period will be charged to the customer, even if they are notified after the rental has ended.
Booking in advance is always recommended, especially during busy periods. By booking through our website, you are guaranteed to reserve the scooter for your chosen dates. For walk-in or unbooked requests, availability cannot be guaranteed.
